A friend of ours in California is in the hospital in critical condition. Doctors are saying that the prognosis is bad and that she is in God’s hands now. Please lift up her body, and her family, in prayer during this very difficult time. (Her name is Brittany and she is 22.)

While praying last night I was left with this phrase:

Lord, you are good and your mercy endureth forever.

He is good and merciful. Whether He chooses to show his goodness and mercy in this situation by a divine healing or by taking her home, He will not cease to be Who He is.

God help me to trust that you know best.

We spent a week in Longview, Texas, helping out with a wedding of a former MMC co-worker, then drove four hours south to Austin to stay with friends there. We attended church with them, and met several of their friends, and were blessed by the encouragement and support shown to us complete newcomers.

After spending two weeks in Austin, Texas, we took a ten-hour drive arriving in Memphis, Tennessee, this past Monday, where we are staying with family.

We left Missouri on Friday and have been hanging out with a friend in Kansas for a few days. Tomorrow we drive further south-ward, arriving at our destination in Texas on Tuesday.
