To think secularly is to think within a frame of reference bounded by the limits of our life on earth: it is to keep one’s calculations rooted in this-worldly criteria. To think Christianly is to accept all things with the mind as related, directly or indirectly, to man’s eternal destiny as the redeemed and chosen child of God.

We had a wonderful Christmas and are hoping you can say the same.

Practicing our drama, almost knowing all my lines, watching Tim act silly as Herod’s advisor/bodyguard: the sunglasses really change things!

Then time for carols and singing, playing with the band (and messing up some), being thankful that my throat is well enough that I can talk if not sing!

Talking to family, relaxing at home, listening to rain that falls just outside our walls.

Now time for bed, time to think.

30 years ago Spain was one of the strictest Catholic states existing, now gay marriage, expedited divorce and a very liberal sense of morality form a part of the current government’s agenda. The article does a fantastic job of highlighting the contradictions that have developed in Spanish society in the last 30 years and is well worth the read.
