Weekly Ministry Update - October 26
Friday, October 26th, 2007- I’ve been working on finishing up the Communicate, a twice-yearly publication of Málaga Media Center. Since there is no dedicated graphic designer working here at the moment, I offered to finish it, since I have been trained in graphic design and I know how to use the programs. At the moment I’m just waiting to hear back from a few people, and waiting for one last article from Dan, the director, before getting some final approvals and figuring out how to get it printed and mailed. (Something I’m not very informed about.)
- I also recently began working on a new Arabic video project — creating music videos out of some of the Arabic praise music that has been produced over the years, by native North African songwriters and singers, with the help of MMC. After the first day of working on the first song, I woke up with the tune still going through my head!! It is either very catchy music, or I’ve just heard it too many times.
- Tim has been asked to lead the worship at our church on Sunday, since the pastor and some of the band will be out of town at a conference (I must have mentioned to him at one point that Tim and I used to lead music together…). Please pray for him as he is preparing the music to play, especially tomorrow during our worship team practice when we practice with rest of the band (those who are not going to the conference).
- Avant Spain Conference - Next week Tim and I and the rest of the MMC team will be away at a conference for a few days; so the next weekly update won’t be until the week after. Pray that it will be a good time of rest and connecting with the other Avant missionaries in Spain. The president of Avant Ministries will be flying out to give the messages, so that should be nice.
Have a happy and safe end of October! I’ll be turning 24 in a few days…where does the time go?
