Tomorrow (Monday) we start shooting another series of Arabic television programs — Tim and I will both be running camera, all day, every day, for the next week.

Pray for our stamina and for the two Arabic-speaking presenters who will be discussing answers to some of the common questions that Muslims have about Christianity.

Tim and I have been sick with colds this past week and are just now getting over it… so pray we don’t start coughing a lot when we’re recording in the studio because any slight sound we make will be picked up by the microphones.

Also pray against any attacks of the enemy on the video equipment (its not uncommon to experience inexplicable malfunctions during shoot weeks) and for the health of the others who will be working with us (especially the two presenters).

Hello everyone, I’m back again with the (more) regular updates!

• Tim and I arrived back in Spain on September 18th, and were officially welcomed as a newly married couple the next morning with a small reception after the regular team meeting. The rest of that week we fought off jet lag (or actually, more like gave in to it), and slept a lot more than usual!
• I’ve updated a lot of things on the MMC website, to make up for the lack of updates while I was away. I added a story describing the Spanish ministry project What Now? (Ahora Qué), which I was able to help out with before going back to the States in July. A lot of other small changes to the website have been made, and a few big ones are in the works, some of which Tim is helping out with. For instance, he wrote a script to make it automatically update the copyright date every year, since we noticed that it still said 2005!
• As for Tim, he’s been settling into his new office, and so far really enjoys his job as IT person, especially considering that it is not just “damage control” like many of his previous jobs have been. He really likes how the IT “department” (he and another guy!) are very proactive in doing things to prevent problems, and make things better in terms of the computer systems and how they all work together. So far, he’s been working on setting up a more reliable server, and upgrading the phones to a VoIP system (a phone system that uses internet calling). With the new phone system, we will be able to each have our own extension, and inter-office calling would not have to use out-going calls each time, cutting down the number of physical phone lines that MMC would have to pay for.

We got here ok on Tuesday night, with ALL of our luggage, praise God! The luggage wasn’t even inspected or stolen from. Aside from an annoying passport agent in the Dublin airport, we weren’t harassed by airport or government officials. The person checking my passport in the Málaga airport was pretty confused to see that I have a visa in it, when “Americans don’t need a visa to enter Spain!” I told him I had my residence card already and he wasn’t as confused, I think. And here Tim thought he was going to be in trouble for not having a visa yet! HA! No trouble when flying into Málaga.

Yesterday we “took a nap” and ended up sleeping for 12 hours (with a few-hour break for some video games). We’re still trying to get moved in and settled, and adjust to the jet lag. Tim is getting set up in his new office today, finding out the hundred things he will need to get done.

A lot of stuff has changed around MMC while I’ve been gone (even in just 2 months)… the auditorium is now painted a nice shade of yellow-ish, which actually complements the chicken curtains on all the windows and the huge mural along the back wall… The Moroccan table that used to be in the video studio has been taken apart and the table top is now being used as decoration where the bulletin board used to be… oh, and Gwynn is currently upstairs in the gate apartment painting the living room a very crimson red color.

So, that’s what’s new with me!

Hi everyone, just a quick update –

Tim and I have been married almost four weeks now, and in the next few days we’ll be getting the final things ready before we leave for Spain on Monday.

A few things we need prayer for:

• Tim’s visa. He has not heard anything from the Spanish consulate yet, so we are not sure if it is ready (and they haven’t told us?) or if it is not ready at all. If we do not get it before we leave, he will have to fly back for it when it does come through.
• Packing. Pray that we would know what to take with us and what to leave behind.
• Safety. As we travel, that ourselves and our luggage would make it safely to our destination.
• Peace. Pray that we would have God’s peace in this time of so many changes and reasons for stress.. that we would rely on God to work things out, and be submissive to his will.

I wasn’t the one taking pictures… so therefore, I don’t have anything other than what people give me. The photographer who took our official wedding photos hasn’t notified me that they’re ready, but when they are ready I will definitely let people know.
