….One month from today!!!

• The “short (yes SHORT) video about MMC” can now be seen on the “about” page. I am wanting to do a few other versions but at the very least I will have something to show if anyone asks.
• I’ve been getting a lot done on the multi-language DVD — I’ve gotten a good part of my photoshop layered menus back to a usable form, and am putting it back into the DVD authoring program to make it actually work. It is hard to (again) wait around for people in other countries to send us translations of the text we need, but we know that one of the language translations should be getting to us in September, and another is rumored to arrive within the week. So for the time being, I am working with what translations we do have, and putting together a test project in English that I can *hopefully* just replace the text in once we get it, and form the DVD that way.
• Today I updated the MMC website with a news story — it is actually regarding the DVD that I’m working on. If you want to know more about why we’re making this multi-language DVD for distribution in North Africa, go see what was written about it!
• I got out my suitcase, borrowed a bathroom scale, and began trying to pack last night. With only 22 kilos of allowable weight in each bag, I’m not sure how it’s going to work (I’m bringing back more heavy things than usual) but once I get back my other, smaller bag from the person who is borrowing it, I should be able to even out the weight. It’s hard to believe that in five days I’ll be back in CA. Time goes so fast!
• Last night, as a going away present, Colleen and I took it upon ourselves to pull a prank on a co-worker’s office, involving aluminum foil and toilet paper. You can see the final results on my flickr site, or in the image below.

To accompany the apparent lack of festivities at MMC (and Spain in general) instead of fireworks, we experienced a power outage. Except for the video studio. My office rocks.
