December ‘06 and beyond.
Tuesday, December 26th, 2006I trust that everyone has had a good Christmas, and Boxing Day/Saint Stephen’s Day, if you celebrate it.
It was my first Christmas away from family, and my first Christmas in Spain. Christmas Day was spent opening some presents with Jamie, Brandon and Tim; going to church for a Christmas Day service; enjoying the mid-day meal with my Spanish tutor and her family; and finally, traveling caravan-style with them and several others from MMC to a Belen (Spanish nativity scene) that is supposed to be the most elaborate in the area.
Tim has been here in Spain since December 13th; I was sick that entire week and missed the video shoot; and we were in Barcelona from the 15th-20th. It has been a busy past few weeks, and we celebrated today by taking a day off and doing absolutely nothing - as opposed to rushing around from one event to the next, as tends to happen during the holiday season.
Times are changing, and life is reminding us once again that trust in God is the only constant. Please keep both Tim and I in prayer - for God’s guidance, direction, and the strength to continue living so far apart - especially in the next few weeks, as he leaves on Jan. 1st and returns to life in California.
But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God and made Him my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works. Psalm 73:28
