The shutters in my office decided to break the other day. The already-disitegrating cord snapped when I tried to use it to pull up the blinds, like I do normally.

Thankfully, today Rolly and Brandon made a temporary fix, which involved standing on my desk, unattaching the blinds from the top to take out a broken slat, putting it all back together again, and using a clamp to hold the remainder of the still-shredding-to-bits pully cord.

Now I have an option other than my overhead light - that is, until the sun goes down around 5:30.

Do you believe God can speak through dreams? He can, and has.

There are many stories from around the globe of Jesus revealing himself to people through dreams and visions, especially in the Muslim world.

Last week, a co-worker brought a story of testimony from North Africa. Because we have little knowledge on our own of how God is using the work that we do here (creating evangelistic media to be broadcast into North Africa), it is always wonderful to hear testimonies like this.

• Arabic Bible readings project: I’ve finished a few more Bible readings, and am working on adjusting those that were previously finished according to some new guidelines received from above. (Above as in my boss, not God. :))
• MMC Website: I’ve been working on editing and preparing a new Arabic Ministry story for the website, written by another MMC staff. This story should be posted during the next few days, I’m simply awaiting final approval. (Edit: the story is now posted, you can read it here.) I also have the beginnings of another testimony story which I hope to post soon as well.
• MMC Thanksgiving Dinner: There will be a group Thanksgiving meal tomorrow afternoon (around 6 P.M.). Thanksgiving isn’t a Spanish holiday, naturally, so it will be interesting to see the combination of different cultures (Spanish, North African, British…) expressed here tomorrow on what would usually be seen as a very North American holiday.

If you’ve seen my Skype name, you would notice that my tagline says “chorizo: the other white meat.” If you don’t know anything about Spanish food, namely chorizo, you might assume that statement is correct. You would, however, be very wrong.

Chorizo is greasy, savory, and definitely not white.
