In the stillness of the afternoon, napping baby in the other room and cups of hot tea beside us, Tim and I sit down to look over our past few financial statements from our mission and think about where the next few months might take us.

I don’t know how God in his goodness has blessed us with so much: a place to live, a car to drive, a healthy and growing little boy, Tim surviving his accident with minimal damage, wonderful new friends, new financial givers who support what we do at Málaga Media Center, and so much more.

Each day is a blessing; He who is the author of days is likewise the author of blessings. Praise His name.

I think tonight was the last of our big meetings in the Kansas area! It has been a crazy past few weeks.

It has gone something like this. Drive to Kansas City: stay the night; drive to Newton. Group meeting, group meeting, garage sales. Drive back to Kansas City for group meeting: stay the night; drive back to Newton for another group meeting… !!!

Like I said, crazy. But God is good, tonight and last night there were a number of people who seemed very interested in the ministry and have said they wanted to keep in touch, and even a few said they would consider donating!

Keep praying for an increase in ministry partners: both prayer and financial supporters. Thanks to a few wonderful friends in Newton, we’ve been able to meet a lot of new people and share the vision of Málaga Media Center. And, as good or as bad as our presentations go, it’s really up to God to create a response.

We have been very encouraged from tonight and last night’s meetings, so praise God, it was not anything that we did!

Friday we go BACK to Kansas City, spend the weekend there, and head out for CA on Monday morning. Where we will fervently start looking for a reasonable car on craigslist so we can get to our next destinations…

A couple weeks ago during our worship service I was struck by a moment of inspiration. More like a knowledge of something I’d never thought of before. I don’t know if I quite have it figured out in a way that makes sense to anyone else, but that morning, standing on the stage holding my bass as our pastor read a Psalm (I can’t even remember which one, or if it had anything to do with this), I gained a deeper understanding of our relationship with God in terms of our need to praise.

• God is eternal. We are eternal beings, currently trapped in a world bound by time.
• God desires our praise and worship. He is surrounded by eternal praise. (See Revelation 4, 5)
• God created time, placed us in it, yet is interacting with our time-bound lives even while remaining eternal.

If God desires our eternal praise… then with every moment of our lives, even as we are bound by time, we should be praising Him. Even when we don’t feel like it. Even when we’re upset about something and praising God is the last thing on our minds. If he desires our eternal praise… NOW is part of that.

Wow. Convicting. I know I fall short. Praise God for loving me anyway, even in my weakness!!

Someone gave their life to Christ for the first time during our church service today! This was the second person in the past few weeks who has done so, right there during the worship service.

The angels are rejoicing - God is good!

Praise God that Tim’s blood sugar levels have been much better today! For the past week or so they have been very erratic, and almost never within the normal range when he tested his blood.

We decided not to go to the doctor this afternoon, but we will try to go tomorrow. He still needs to get checked out but for the time being it seems that the crisis has subsided.

Continue praying that his levels will remain under control. Thank you for your prayers.
