After almost a month straight of naps rarely longer than 30 or 40 minutes, our Bug has decided to take MULTIPLE decent-length naps today.
Add that to an inspiration to write our much-needed prayer letter, and you’ve got some divine intervention.
PRAISE JESUS FOR NAPS!!!!
The other night we turned in the passport application for our Little Bug. I know some people have questioned why we need a passport for a baby, I guess at some point in the past it wasn’t necessary, but it certainly is in our case. Passports for minors are good for 5 years, and wow do kids change fast in the first five years! Even a few months from now he’ll so look different. It will be funny when he’s five and still using the same passport with his baby picture in it.
So.. now we wait. Waiting seems to be the name of the game. Three to six week is the estimate, though the lady at the office told us that passports have been coming back on the quicker end of the range recently.
In addition to this major piece of paperwork, we’re also still waiting on our FBI records check to come back, which we sent off for back around Christmas. I don’t think there’s any way of checking up on it, either.. so it might be a while. Well, one thing at a time, but we are slowly chipping away at this visa process.
Continue to pray for God’s timing and our patience.
Along with a new addition to our family comes the need for new prayer cards! Thankfully we just had some family photos taken, and I was able to turn one of them into a prayer card design. Our little family is so cute, I have to say.
So, coming soon, ready for display on a fridge near you! Email or comment if you’d like one.
Today was better than yesterday.. but only just. I’m trying to get our little boy used to some sort of routine in the day, hoping that it will help him sleep better. He doesn’t like to sleep during the day, and recently has been pretty sleep deprived because of it, constantly yawning and in a nasty mood for most of the day (except morning, after a good night’s rest).
While today wasn’t all fun and games, there were some highlights:
The not-so-highlights of today included:
Well lets hope that our days get progressively better. Eventually he’ll get used to a routine… (sigh)
