Spain Celebrates a victory

Last night was a great victory for Spain: their first win in a major futbol (soccer) tournament since Euro 1964!

As BBC news reports, “Spain claimed their first major title for 44 years after winning Euro 2008 with a deserved victory over Germany.” Read about it here.

Soccer fans or not, it was great fun watching the game on a projector screen with a huge group at MMC last night.

Join in the Spanish celebration by watching this short video clip we took after the win. Also good is another video clip of the celebration in Granada.

The honking, flag waving, and driving in circles continued well into the early hours of the morning.

Wonderful Blender tutorials..

The time has come to learn another new program for yet another new project.

Try as we might to get our legally-purchased copies of Lightwave to run on ANY computer, I finally broke down and decided to learn Blender, an open-source 3D modeling and animation program. It seems to have plenty of documentation and tutorials available online, so it will only be a matter of time before I get used to this completely new interface and system.

The Blender Windowing System is a treat. I know, it looks like some sort of space-ship control panel and you have never seen anything like it. Once you learn it, however, you’ll wish all your programs worked this way.

Church

Someone gave their life to Christ for the first time during our church service today! This was the second person in the past few weeks who has done so, right there during the worship service.

The angels are rejoicing - God is good!

Today..

Today I both:

Confronted the nasty consular agent at our nearest American Consulate (to receive the letter I need to continue my Spanish residency renewal),
and
Staked-out a house full of rose-petals with a video camera.

….another interesting day.

Yay!

Tim passed his driving test on Monday!

Now he will wait a few weeks for the Spanish government to send him the actual license so he can once again drive legally. In the meantime, we’re busy enough with the video shoot that we don’t even need to drive anywhere.
